Kaizan Building, West Bromwich – Solar Control Window Film Installation
We at Sunshield Window Film Ltd were proud to support the owners of the Kaizan Building, located in West Bromwich, in tackling a significant issue: thermal build-up due to excessive solar heat.
This striking building is hard to miss – clearly visible as you continue up the M5 motorway or exit at Junction 1 (West Bromwich Interchange).
The building's owners have transformed what was once a tired office complex into an exuberant collection of modern apartments. The final piece of the puzzle? Protection from the sun’s powerful UV and infrared heat.
Sunshield took on the challenge and, after testing, confirmed that the building’s glazing was compatible with the application of N1040SCRDF window film. This high-performance film offers 40–50% solar heat rejection, helping to reduce indoor temperatures and improve comfort for occupants.
With its neutral exterior finish, the film is barely noticeable — both from inside the building and from the outside. (So, no need to slow down for a look as you drive by — eyes on the road, safety first! ?)
Despite the building being fully tenanted, our team worked closely with the property owners and, importantly, respectfully with their residents, to complete the project over a smooth five-day period.
Take a look at the images — can you spot the windows mid-installation vs. fully completed?
Thank you for your custom to the owners of the Kaizan Building. (Formerly - intersection House West Bromwich)
